We went to the park today. When I saw this cute little blonde girl peering over the side of the stone bridge, I knew that this would be my shot of the day.
@masosy How is the processing? I was very unsure of it. I ended up doing an oilify thing to soften it and make it look more painterly and dreamy. This shot I didn't have focused properly perhaps (the girl wasn't my focal spot) but i just took it quick, refocused and took a few more. I happened to like her positioning the best here, though. Thanks, Ms. Goring:).
@tbats22 I loved it, too. I was shooting it and then saw the color pop up and saw the sweet girl and started firing away. Much more interesting with the girl in there. Thank you!!
@michaelelliott This scene today reminded me a tad of your Alice shot from Central Park. That is one of my favorite shots of yours. Loved that I caught another cute blondie only this time on the stone bridge.
@maggiemae I adored the scene when I saw it. Just magical. I didn't have the focal point in the right point when I took this shot. It was the first shot, but turned out to be my favorite of the bunch. Thank you for the fav. I oilified the photo in processing. Is that ok, you think? I wanted to make it soft and dreamy.
I really like the processing. For me it's about the lighting on the leaves to the left and top, it's just perfect. And that bridge has so many beautiful stones instead of concrete. Fantastic.
Fantastic capture. Such an amazing bridge! Love the stonework and the contrast to the leafy surroundings. The girl, of course, is a great focal point pulls it all together.
love this shot, perfectly fits the title! looks like it's the little Alice searching for the white rabbit, only she's wearing an orange dress. beautiful picture Amanda!
@eyesmile I loved it, too, sweet lady. Thanks so much for the fav!:)
@alia_801@rachelwithey@rennes@fueast Oh my word, tell me about this game called Pooh sticks. Is it after Winnie the Pooh? Funny name. It must be a British thing? Drop a stick over the side and watch it plop? I think that she was watching the fish and turtles in the water. Thanks for your comments, ladies!!
I love it too. Looks like you have focus on the branches in front which creates interesting effect. It's always nice to get a human element in the shot. fav.
@bardejov Thanks so much for the fav, sweet lady!! I didn't have the camera focused in the right place here, just fired off a quick shot, but it worked enough for me to go with it. It was the best composition and lighting of the shots I took. I processed it up to be more impressionistic, too. Really appreciate that you liked it:).
Thanks so much you all for your wonderful comments about this little sweetie on the bridge. Something about the scene really did it for me. So pleased that she popped up when I was shooting and it wasn't a boring old bridge shot;-). Hope you are having a happy weekend!
@seanoneill She was so stinkin' cute. Loved seeing her head pop over and getting a shot in time. There were turtles, fish and ducks that were in the water below that she was probably looking at.
What a stroke of luck to have this little pixie pop up in your frame! She adds a visual interest that really balances the shot.
Honestly the bridge and greenery is lovely on its own, but something about that little girl brings it all together.
