Happy 4th of July to my fellow Americans. This was a bit of the bustling, busy, crazy scene in Times Square recently. I think that I recognized this flag from an amazing NYC taxi shot that Michael Elliot did last year.
@amandal no, but it might tonight, which would suck, since the fireworks are mainly what I'm interested in.... if I went up to my hometown it would be another story. They always have a good parade there, but its 2 1/2 to 3 hrs drive
@seanoneill We are having a big family gathering/bbq and then going to watch the fireworks. Our old town had a sweet parade through the local main street. We would all wave little American flags and watch the local boy scouts, karate classes and bands, etc, march by. Loved that. Thanks, Sean!
@amandal - haha yes this lighted flag was reflected in the taxis for that "famous" shot of mine. This is an excellent capture with the passing silhouettes. Great job!
@bardejov This was after our meet up. We left them and were right in Times Square. My mom and I ventured in alone. I saw this, though and it looked familiar. It was so nice to have him show me around, though, and point out good angles for shots and such. Best day in forever! Thanks, friend!
Thank you all so much for your comments on this capture from Times Square that I saved for the 4th. I had hoped to see a fireworks show and take photos but they were rained out. Maybe I can take in one at Kings Island sometime this summer.
@tabbycat I was there a couple weeks ago for the NYC meet up, but held onto this one for the 4th. Are you going to meet up with the crew there when you go? Such a great group of people. Michael Elliot was an amazing tour guide!

@tabbycat Adam, his brother. Ms. T, Happysnap, Jim something. There were 12 of us. I was the only one who travelled in for it, I think. Super fun time. Even if it's just ME, it would be great!
