On one of our last night's camping, we had to run out for a few grocery items. We had my parents back at camp watching the kids (who were sleeping) and Mike and I extended the shopping trip out to include a little date. My idea was to stop at an overlook to see and photo the Mackinac bridge at night. My wonderful husband was game and even so kind as to put the tripod up for me. My steady hand wasn't so steady this night. We both got some great shots and stopped to get ice cream on the way back. It was a perfect mini date!
This definitely looks better big. And I am hoping that the dots in the sky are stars and not my camera crapping out on me and dropping pixels. It does that sometimes. Being that it is just in the sky, I am thinking that it is stars. Perfection would have been seeing the Northern Lights over the bridge, but they were mean and didn't show themselves that night. I did perhaps see them from camp one night, but no one believes me and thinks that I was high on opium. So far from the truth!
This is a great shot Amanda and especially good viewed large. When you thought you saw the Northern Lights did you try to photograph them.? only ask because were were in Finland earlier this year and the camera definitely picked up more than the naked eye could.
@paulaw I didn't have my camera with me at the time...and the view was very obstructed. I want to see them clearly sometime as they look so amazing. Thanks, lady!
@espyetta I know. I really need to take my camera in to the doc sometime, just too cheap and broke to do anything about it yet. Hope it gets better on it's own! Thanks, friend!
