Don't Look Now, but This "Lady" has a Handlebar Mustache!!

She's wearing sunglasses, too!!

I normally really stink at bug photos. My lens is no good with small stuff, but I practiced today when we seemed to have a ladybug infestation and was happy with the fun detail that this shot picked up.

I never knew they looked like this!
Mac
Great shot, she's fabUlous!

October 29th, 2013
Great capture:) like the vintage cool mustache :)
October 29th, 2013
Very cute. Love the composition and texture in the surface.
October 29th, 2013
They really are so small so this is very nice to see! I just about have to sit on a ladybug to get it in focus!
October 29th, 2013
It's okay, she's just getting a head start on Movember. Love the texture on the wall.
October 29th, 2013
So cool, I especially am drawn to the textures on the side of building.
October 29th, 2013
Very cool! I love lady bugs!! Is that your home? Is it stucco?
October 29th, 2013
great job! love how he/she is place in your shot and is agains that great textured background
October 29th, 2013
very cool
October 29th, 2013
@bobfoto Shot a bug today (not my normal subject matter because I lack the proper equipment). I was surprised to discover our ladies have facial hair here!!!
October 29th, 2013
@eyesmile It is my home. Hopefully for not much longer either. We found and put an offer on a place today. It is a wood house. I sharpened it up a bit so it's more textured than usual.
October 29th, 2013
@amandal - diggin' your tags too! Ladybirds are way cool except for the evil ones...
October 29th, 2013
@bobfoto I don't know personally of the evil ones, but I keep hearing this nasty rumor. How can they be evil? Thanks.
October 29th, 2013
@amandal - The nice ones... like you have here, will eat aphids for breakfast. The nasty evil 28 spotted ones will eat your flowers for breakfast.
October 29th, 2013
=)))) so cute! i never noticed the details too!
October 29th, 2013
Great shot, love the contrast with the white. Good to learn he isn't a nasty evil 28 spotted one!
October 29th, 2013
Zam
cool I love the composition!
October 29th, 2013
@bobfoto I've heard about evil ones that bite!
October 29th, 2013
Great details, composition and the simple white background! I've never heard of evil ladybugs as the others have commented on! As far as I know, we only have the good ones in Canada! ;)
October 29th, 2013
@mzzhope Thanks so much for loving my hairy mustache lady, Hope!!:) I was stunned!
October 29th, 2013
@amandal - bite eh?
October 29th, 2013
Lovely composition.
October 29th, 2013
I haven't seen a ladybug here in years! This is so cool. I think it´s hot here for them.
October 29th, 2013
Was she dressing as Salvador Dali for Halloween? Great capture
October 29th, 2013
@bobfoto That's the word on the street. As I said, I don't know from experience. That's just what I thought you were talking about. On your sloth post you wrote "Too many questions.." or something like that. I should have replied..."What do you mean?!" That was what I lost you about. Hope the ladybirds are kind to you today.
October 29th, 2013
Fun, and beautiful composition!
October 29th, 2013
Amazing how such a tiny amount of red can draw the eye. Nicely placed on the edge of the shadow.
October 29th, 2013
Great close up and love the composition and textures too.
October 29th, 2013
Super shot, love the textures of the white.
October 29th, 2013

October 29th, 2013
She has! Moustache and shades ... clearly in disguise !
October 29th, 2013
@gozoinklings Yeah, thanks so much for seeing this, too. I was blown away by the coolness and strangeness of it and most people didn't seem to notice. Nice ladybug. Great red. Love the wall. No, look at the freakish mustache this thing has!!;-)
October 30th, 2013
i like the minimalist shot!
October 30th, 2013
Great shot! Love the white wooden background. FAV.
October 30th, 2013
probably didn't want to be recognized. maybe she's doing undercover. and don't tell me that is snow because my joints are suddenly aching!
October 30th, 2013
@summerfield Just a freshly painted white trim piece on our house. How funny! No snow yet here, thankfully!

@jamibann Thanks sooo much for the fav, Issi:)!!
October 30th, 2013
Clear shot of a little shaver.

Thanks so much for your great comments on my lady that looks like a dude (aka ladybug with a funny mustache). Has anyone ever noticed this before?! Crazy the things the camera picks up! Thanks, friends!

@sunshinephoto5 Thanks, lady. That is hilarious!!:)
October 31st, 2013
That's funny. Amazing what you notice. Just read an article about the increase in lady bugs. In Autumn they're more noticeable, due to they're preparations for winter.
October 31st, 2013
@losthorizon I had never seen so many at once before. I thought that maybe the landscapers released them for pest control or something. Maybe it was a fall thing. It was sooo cool! I wonder if they all have this mustache face? Thanks for appreciating it, Beau!
November 1st, 2013
So cute! Great find and capture!
November 1st, 2013
@pflaume I loved it and it's funny facial hair. Thanks, Lisa:)!
November 1st, 2013
@bobfoto I've picked up the expressing "eh?" on 365. We don't really say that in the US. I now say "eh?" to my kids and I hear them saying it now at times, too. It makes me smile when people write it on here. You did above, if you are confused. Not Swahili here, just plain old English, eh?
November 1st, 2013
Great shot!!
November 1st, 2013
@amandal - Australians don't have a big difference in accents, sure some say schooool instead of skol and some say maul instead of maaaal and we all know what Kiwis sound like eh bro, but the thing that defines a Queenslander is the ability to put either eh or but on the end of every sentence eh?

It is always a classic when we put both eh and but on the end of a sentence like "Top day out eh but?". But we don't do that all the time eh?
November 1st, 2013
@bobfoto EH?!;)
November 1st, 2013
@bobfoto Canadians say it a bunch, too.
November 1st, 2013
@amandal - must be in the breeding but.
November 1st, 2013
Cool shot and love the detail. I did not know they look like this. Been trying to capture a good ladybug for quite some time. Love your tags. You are too funny.
November 1st, 2013
@bobfoto Wait, are you telling me that your parents are cousins? Is that right, eh?
November 1st, 2013
@amandal - No, I'm neither a Canadian nor a Taswegian nor a Queenslander by birth. I only adopt the language of my adopted state so I fit in betterer. eh?
November 1st, 2013
@bobfoto Oh shoot, because all of the pieces were falling into place...the beard, the toenails...everything. So confused again;-). Have a good weekend, eh, Jason.
November 1st, 2013
@amandal - you'll keep.
November 1st, 2013
@darsphotos Thought this was crazy. Thanks so much for your great words and for appreciating the tags, my friend. Those are so fun to do:).

@bobfoto I may not. I think I am starting to go stale. All in good fun, eh. Loved your Hope jokes that I missed when I first saw them this morning...hadn't finished the coffee yet.
November 2nd, 2013
@amandal - always in good jest.
November 2nd, 2013
@kevin365 Thank you, Kevin!!
November 2nd, 2013
I thought she was crawling along snow from the thumbnail. Beautiful use of negative space xx
November 3rd, 2013

November 4th, 2013
@psychographer Thanks so much, Lisa. No snow yet, thankfully (though I am looking forward to it). It is still so magical to me.

@dmdfday Thank you very much, Diane!:)
