I had hoped to make it out for one more sunrise before we moved, but the weather got too darn gross and cold. Tomorrow we are in for a doozy of a day with sleet and snow (they call it a winter mix) and all around misery. But I will be keeping myself toasty and warm inside (I hope!!).
It's my kids last day at their old school. I sure hope that it isn't cancelled as they would like to say goodbye to their teachers and friends. A delay or a shorter day would be fine, though.
This was taken during one of my best sunrises over the summer during my month long trek to get out for the sunrise once a week. It was marvelous, but by the end of the month, I was absolutely exhausted from the early mornings. But oh the serenity...so much serenity!
Pretty soon I will be offline for a bit so I thought I'd post early while I still have the internet. Hope to be back up again soon. And maybe I will have photos from the big move.
Still plugging away with the packing! Happy weekend, my friends! Be well and hope that you are feeling blessed and loved this advent season!
And I wanted to give you all a massive thank you for all of the wonderful faves and comments that landed my "Reflecting on an Old Friend" gazebo shot on the Top Twenty this week. It's my 12th of the year. A goal that I thought would be cool when I got close recently. 4 of my 12 have featured this same gorgeous gazebo. I need a new one for next year! Thank you so much!!
Best of luck with the move and love this shot. It is gorgeous, Amanda. I was thinking about looking backwards also into the Summer months. It is going to be in the upper 20's tomorrow and the high in the 40's. So cold with snow down to Auburn or lower and maybe some rain will hit us.
simply gorgeous. the sunset is amazing and reflection too. hope your kiddos have the opportunity to say goodbye! our schools were cancelled today. Amazing that Dallas actually got hit by all this ice. We never see it, so I am enjoying my fire!
Quite simply a thing of beauty. How bad for the kids that school was cancelled on the last day. Very best of luck with everything, and hope to see your new neighbourhood soon :-)
How's I miss this? FAVVVVVVVVVVVV! (that's a fav with a lot of v's....not a lot of w's. Cause then it would just sound strange. Fawwwwww. Try it. LOL)
Anyway...incredible capture. Love how you've taken so many amazing shots of one particular object or structure. And each one better then the next.
great shot
Good luck with the storm & the move.
Thanks, friend!
