Today I realized that my time with baby toes is fleeting. I think that I took it for granted. I had 3 sets of baby toes afterall. And now my final baby's toes are nearly 5, not such a baby anymore.
I did not take enough photos of these precious subjects. I did not nibble or kiss them enough. Missing my chance, I decided to snap a few photos today before they got even bigger and stinkier and less nibbleable.
Ah sweet toes...loved how Clara was playing the toesies while she read today.

Oh Amanda, I had 3 sets of these too but was so long ago that we only had a polaroid camera which took terrible photos, so missed all the wonderful photos that mum's get these days. I'm so jealous! Lovely to look back at in years to come!
Oh my! What a moment you captured! What sweet, peaceful repose. Let me tell you, after all those toes grow up, they have their own and it's almost more sweet to nibble the piggies of your grandchildren. But you're right, must take advantage of the here and now!
FAV for me. Not only is your photo gorgeous but I loved reading your intro. I think we are always running around trying to get everything down and it can feel like we just blinked and our children are all grown up. We all need to enjoy the moment!

Awww, this is so beautiful and so sad - time passes too quickly. Isn't it great though, with all this modern technology, we have so many fabulous memories recorded to refer back to, time and time again. I wish I was as 'into' photography when my kids were teeny as I am now. I loved it then, but didn't have the camera or the skill. Oh well, I can make up for it when the grandkiddies come along one day in the future. :D
