A year ago to the day, I posted a shot of the same type of spring blooms. It was from my old neighborhood and I walked out the back door and snapped the shot while my daughter was napping. Here is last years: http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2013-04-09
And here is the tree blooms that caught my eye in my new neighborhood a year later.
These blooms are much larger than typical spring tree blooms. Like the size of a blooming rose fully opened up. These are also the first trees to be really flowered up yet.
Oh spring, how welcome you are this year. Your warmth, your new life, the sense of fresh and clean. The renewal. Man, this winter really kicked our butts, so I am appreciating the heck out of spring this year. And she is really taking her sweet old time getting ready.
Looking up at this tree, through the big white blossoms reminded me of puffy white clouds and lazy days...sigh. She's here at last.
Gorgeous shots, both of them and what a great idea to use the same subject and reflect to past. I agree with you about welcoming the spring, it is the most welcome this year!
@susale Ironically, it was an accident. I looked it up and saw that it was a year ago exactly (though I took the shot yesterday so maybe a day off). Thanks, friend!!
methinks our spring sprung up elsewhere because it's not here yet. i like your blossoms, a. i may have to steal it, or maybe I can just play with my swan ffriends. :-)
