I did a little ICM with the Christmas tree hoping for some cool light effects. My settings must have been funky in that the shutter wasn't clicking. Ugh, I moved it and moved it and was about to (maybe even turned off the camera) and it clicked.
I rather liked the neon silly string effect, or the look of the Christmas firefly trails. Kinda groovy and fun.
Thank you so much for your response to my selfies yesterday and to the 4 seasons shot from last week. You all are amazing.
Today I have an interview, I was up at night with a sick kid, going on very little sleep for 2 nights in a row. I am looking forward to lots of Clara cuddles today. It is going to be a good day. Hope yours will be, too.
@cejaanderson An event coordinator position that is part time and only 3 days a week. It's a 15 hour per week thing, similar to what I used to do, would get me out with adults and bring us in some income. I think it could be a very good thing.
Love this image. A 25 second exposure will do that to your shutter, seems to take forever. .Good luck with the interview, sounds like you would be a perfect fit, since you're an event coordinator for your family & recent Thanksgiving dinner.
Great light streaks. Good luck with interview after little sleep. Hope you got it, if its what you want. Sounds like you have your hands full and we need you to be able to post such interesting shots.
@northy Thanks! I will be working part time as an event coordinator for a company that does job fairs around the US and Canada. I start next week. It will be my first time really getting back into the job world since I had my son in 2005. Hope that the transition goes well and that all the childcare comes together (it's mostly while the kids are at school but the summer still needs to be figured out). Looking forward to adult time again and a little more life outside of the home! Plus I will travel a bit, too. Photo ops (or not because I will probably be working the whole time:).
Good luck with the interview and your tiredness. Had a same couple of nights.
