A month ago, Clara and I got to experience a taste of heaven on earth when we interacted with and helped a little robin that ran into our window. If you missed it, here is the story and shot: http://365project.org/amandal/365-year-2/2014-11-13
In going through shots to sort and delete, I came across the after shot when he flew into a tree and eventually away once he was ok and well again. I thought it was too sweet to delete, especially for what it told.
The light is wonderful. And such a sweet story of a bird's mishap. We have many large windows and have found several birds who hit them. It's nice when they can fly away.
@jocasta Sheesh, I am becoming a bird lady. Guess what I was out shooting today? Give up? Birds at my feeder. It's hard to get out in the cold. Brrrrr....
Thanks for your great comments yesterday. Hope to still be around. I do want to finish up my year...365 will be reached mid January, I think. And then I'd like to be around in some capacity. I love it and the people too much to leave. I don't know how much I'd be taking photos if not for this.
How very pretty this shot is, the background is gorgeous and the lighting on the bird is lovely, and it is extra special due to its near death encounter!
Love the robin story and this excellent shot--fav!
