Ok, so it didn't much melt the snow, but the sun did break free and rise and the combo of sunshine and snow is one of my very favorite things. So much better than a dull, gray, bitter cold snowy day.
And there wasn't much snow. Only an inch or two. It has been a pretty mild and hardly snow filled year for us.
I could use another good snow or two for playing in. I don't really feel like I have been able to capture winter like I did fall or spring either. I'm not so attracted to the leafless trees and browns of the season, but when the world is white with snow...then it's a wonderland.
Beautiful shot, Amanda! I love when the snow frosts the limbs of trees like this and you have just the right amount of sunshine in the composition. It's stunning and a fav!
@sbolden I think I am a child when it comes to seasons in general. Still soo magical and awesome to me as I had so much of my life without them. Then again, perhaps I am just a child;-).
Great snow shot! If you want to see a NH fall, go in early Oct. Fall starts in late September! The White mountains are especially beautiful. Check out Plume Gorge in Lincoln area.
I love it when snow falls soft enough to line each little limb on a tree. Our last snow came without wind which allowed this very thing to happen. So pretty, just like this scene in your picture.
Beautiful light coming through the branches....yes, it doesn't look like the midwest got as much snow as the east coast this year. I have been vicariously experiencing winter through other 365ers eyes....and, that's probably the way I like it! ;-))
