Men at Work from 49 Floors Up

This was a shot of men at work from the top of the Carew Building in downtown Cincinnati. They were on the ice rink and I assumed that they were playing hockey.

Nope, they were breaking the ice to take the rink down.

Love that it looks like those little people toys or a tilt shift angle. Just me looking almost straight down from 49 stories and praying I don't drop my camera.
They do look like toys! Glad it is time to take it down... so ready for spring where I live!!!!

It makes me nervous this photo! You must have been hanging out not to get the side of the building in the shot! Why can't they just let it melt!
February 28th, 2015
Like an ant bed!

@maggiemae I was safe, didn't lean precariously. My camera did, though, but I did wrap the strap around my hands multiple times. It made me nervous up there thinking of my kids ever being up there. Yeah, that thought makes me sick. I don't know why they break it up like that. It's in a square and set up only for the winter. Still winter, though. Strange. The do all sorts of stuff in the square, though, so maybe they need the space?

@cejaanderson Right? So weird. They reminded me of those little people toys people use in photos on here.

@joemuli We've had it for a couple weeks now. We are not normally a very snowy place. A few snows a year and it's gone in a week or less. We were hit kinda hard here recently.

Ouie, this makes me dizzy!! They do look like bugs down there!!! Makes you feel like you could pick them up and move them around like you do those little people you were talking about!! Love this shot!! FAV!

This is a totally cool perspective. That's a lot of snow and ice for such tiny tools and people.
March 5th, 2015
Eeekkkkk brave lady!!
March 5th, 2015
Wow, and it looks like they are bleeding orange! Now, enlighten me, why are they breaking up an ice rink in the middle of the winter? Isn't ice skating the thing to do when it is below freezing?!
March 6th, 2015
love the dizzying perspective.
March 9th, 2015
wonders

They look like the tiny toy people anazad511 uses. Your thumbnail looked like a snowball or snow cone with those little people climbing all over it. HA! Good thing you DIDN'T drop your camera. Everyone here on 365 who follows you and enjoys your wonderful photos would be almost as sad as you.

Strangely enough, I just looked up and realize that while I see and enjoy your photos all the time, I haven't actually been following you. Well, THAT'S been corrected now!
