The swan at Spring Grove Cemetery (a local Cincinnati cemetery that is like a park). One of two swans actually. A couple perhaps. I spent awhile with them hoping to capture the perfect photo.
I noticed Teri shooting them through the tree blooms and I gave it a try, too.
Loved his contemplative pose here.
Ugly Duckling, indeed;-).
Wow, thank you so much for your responses to yesterday's photobombing little girl. First PP shot in a bit. That was also taken at Spring Grove. This week, I think I will do a series from my time there. Amazing place this time of year.
This is such a beautiful photo and so different for you, Amanda. I love the pink framing. I am sure learning that to blur close up and clear in the distance works so well. Such a gorgeous swan and reflection as well. FAV
@darsphotos You know, at first the foreground blur bothered me, but in the end I liked it. I wonder how both in focus would have been? Maybe less emphasis on the swan that way? thanks, lady!!
@amandal I truly might have tossed this one out myself but thanks to your posts and others doing similar photos I have learned not to. It is truly like a painting and so much added color to this swan and the water as well.
This is so beautiful....the pose of the swan, the still waters, but more than anything that dreamy framing by the pink blooms!! Just gorgeous....big FAV from me!!
