Yesterday morning, in the midst of my busy rush to get 3 kids out the door to school, to feed and walk a dog, to get myself to the the gym and then to work, I had to take a pause.
It had been days of murky, choking grayness. Days of bleak winter misery.
But out of the darkness, came the light, the sun was rising and painting my day, giving me the gift of color that I had longed for. No, the sky wasn't painted blue and the day turned out to be gray, but in the morning, God sent me some hope, some beauty, some much needed light.
When you don't see this often, you appreciate the heck out of it when you do.
It started my day with a smile and for this hidden treasure and gift from my Father, I was thankful.
Sometimes you need to take a pause, to enjoy, to reflect and to choose gratitude.
