Moreton Bay fig

Also known as the Australian banyan (Ficus macrophylla) and native to eastern Australia, it was commonly planted in early parks and gardens of Melbourne and Sydney, providing avenues of shade. This majestic tree is one of the oldest in Fawkner Park, Melbourne.
