This week I will be showing a wider view of Cockatoo Island. You may notice I am a bit behind - but if you haven't noticed - forget I said anything :)
This is the North-Westerly side of the island - the view you get when travelling on the rivercat from Parramatta to Darling Harbour.
The large building is the Powerhouse and next to it the Powerhouse Chimney and Base. The coal fired powerhouse and brick chimney stack were built in 1918, to provide electricity for the island.
