I participate in Fare Share, where (for a small weekly fee) you get food which would otherwise go to waste and store cupboard staples. Still haven't got my head entirely round the actuality - but it's a diverting surprise as to what appears each time!
@30pics4jackiesdiamond another four being crushed by bad packing - tomatoes that is! I was picky this week - left them with a bushel of radishes :-) It's a national thing, but I don't quite grasp why we get things with long dates - I would have thought they'd be destined for food banks
