The hummingbirds have left us, migrating valiantly to their warmer quarters for winter. We still have Monarchs enjoying the last blooms on the butterfly bush. This one looked very fresh and absolutely gorgeous as it enjoyed the nectar the blooms had to offer.
Merry has helped me put out our fall/Halloween decorations. Each one has to be cautiously inspected and some seem rather scary. Merry hates things out of place or suddenly added. Raspberry was the same, preferring things to always stay the same around the house. I don't have much hope of seeing Merry decked out in Raspberry's Halloween finery, but she might not mind posing with some bewitched items as October approaches.
