A visitor

The pigeon, the sparrows , the tits the jackdaw -had all come and gone when I spotted a crow on the old bird table before I could decide whether it was a crow -he had flown away again !! I I hope he will not make a habit of dropping in !!
Love the expression in his eye ..... "let me staaay Bery, pleezel!"

Thank you all for your kind words and favs ---I was amazed to see him there outside my kitchen window and did not think the photo was very good or clear as my kettle was boiling for my morning coffee and the window slightly steamed up Yes Rita I also think he is a young one who hasn't mastered the art of grooming yet lol !!

Probably too young to realise the bird table isn't meant for him! You did a great job here Beryl.

@paulaw Thanks Paula --- I do not mind just the one --but I hope he does not bring the whole family for a feast !!

May 12th, 2014
Oh, he had his beedy eye on you and Carol is right - such expression on his face.
May 12th, 2014
I think he has a slightly mean streak! Like his ruffled plumage!
May 12th, 2014
He has a mean look in his eye; they use to come and plunder my bird table

We have lots of jackdaw raiders in our garden. I always get confused with crows and rooks. This one is a crow, I think
May 12th, 2014
He does look a bit evil but I'm sure he is just going about his business.
May 12th, 2014
Well done.

He is thinking I like the table in this restaurant I will have to return. A great capture and perhaps in the future too .
May 12th, 2014
Well at least you didn't come away empty birded
May 13th, 2014
Oh goodness, he looks a little scary, he wants all the feed for himself.
May 13th, 2014
He looks almost purple! He does look a bit possessive!
May 13th, 2014
What a soft fluffy head.
May 13th, 2014
@wendyfrost @digitalrn @sansjuan @eyesmile @taffy thank you all for taking the time to comment I wish he had given me more time to study him but thankfully I had my camera to hand in the kitchen as I often do when the birds come for their breakfast -- his fluffy head indicates a youngster and he certainly wasn't fully grown --an observation I have since made looking at adults on nearby chomney pots !!
