@pistonbroke , Hee ,hee I like your baring your soul !! --but I agree ,and I would not like the early start -- but I love looking through other people's junk in the hope of finding that bargain . At least Alfie had a new soft toy which he has been carrying around and putting to bed ever since ! @digitalrn@onewing@ivan@wendyfrost@barneyone@pistonbroke Thank you all
I have to ask this question. Does car-boot mean the items that were for sale were brought there in what we call the trunk in the states? I like this shot, and the story that goes with it.
@thirdjoe Joe yes folk bring the items to the site in their car-boots or as you say trunk of the car or four wheel drive --and spread out their wares on tables - or on sheets on the floor they come there early in the morning for about 6am until early afternoon ! Thanks for looking in and taking interest
Lovely candid shot, Beryl! We had a neighbour once who was very clever at repairing electrical items etc. He was not hard up but he loved going to car boots and buying what most of us would class as rubbish - and getting stuff to work again.
Only ever did a boot sale once with my daughter when my she was raising funds for a charity trek along the Great Wall of China. It was good fun although I seem to remember we had to get up at some ridiculously early hour! Did you get any bargains Beryl?
@ziggy77@quietpurplehaze@paulaw@tonygig no bargain found yesterday -- as my mind is bent on uncluttering these days - but I love to to mooch around car-boots --just in case ! But Alfie found himself asoft tou lion which he has carried around with him, hidden and found and put to bed off and on all day today ( and it is so far in one piece !! )
Could you also redo my fav for today on Pastels, as it hasn't registered. Thanks.
Oh well done, Alfie!!
