@gijsje Thank you Bep - I was just going to add that it was a basic accommodation , usually for the gardeners -- It was remiss of me not to explain the term Bothy at the beginning !!
We can see the poppies in situ too Bery. Love the name bothy.......so homely they are too, a real beautiful house. I think the gardeners are very lucky to live on site in a house like this. They would be tied cottages so not so good to leave when retirement came!
@khirsch Yes I agree with you Karin , I always thought of a bothy as a small one room shelter for shepherds or gardeners ! but I suppose if you consider that the Property is a large estate with Huge walled gardens ,glass houses, vegetable gardens ,an orchard as well as woodland ,ornamental gardens and shrubberies round the mansion and therefore needed many gardeners to employ and accommodate
