I rarely have fresh flowers in my living room in the winter as they very soon die due to the heating in the room ,. but I like my fresh flowers in the hall or dining room where it is not so warm ! Tis arrangement has been with me for a few years . from time to time I dismantle it , give the flowers a thorough wash in soapy water , rinse dry and rearrange , and it looks as fresh as ever !!
Solves the allergy problems, too. I remember my first artificial flower spot was a red rose which was free with Daz soappowder they were unspeakably bad in those days. Nowadays as a floral art judge we really have to look very closely to spot the artificial
@barneyone Ooh Rita !! I also remember those awful plastic flowers with Daz especially the daffs !! Mam had the village stores in those days and she would comment on how much Daz some of her regular customers would purchase just to get the flowers !!
