Still going round the house and looking up - this is my dining room ceiling light . I have not spotted any cobwebs yet but I can see a dead moth in this upturned light shade -- a sure sign its time to spring clean
Went away from it all yesterday dusting can wait , but not one of the best outings as it was marred by little incidences which made me a grumpy old woman !! 1) Lots of road-works on the way , 2)Stopped for a pub lunch which was spoiled by screaming kids -- the two mothers were busy chatting after their lunch while their 3 adorable little ones ran around the pub -- ok ,kids will be kids but their high pitched screams as they ran in and out of tables really got my goat and was a safety issue as the waitresses tried to avoid them while serving hot foods ! I don't blame the little ones but the parents who let this happen ,without any consideration to other diners in the pub . As I ordered my food I did sound my displeasure and soon afterwards the two ladies and three kids departed !
3) We had a long wait for the meal !! 4) after a few pleasant hours in the garden centre we made our weary way home only to be hindered by large farm contraptions winding their merry way home along the country roads making passing them impossible .So as you can imagine I felt very weary when I arrived home -- Will I do it again -- of course I will ! ( sorry about that ,but I needed to get it out of my system )
Today another Hosp visit , my CPAP mask I had last week does not fit - So I will have to go for a refit and a new mask !
That's a lovely ceiling light you have Beryl. Even with the dead moth ;) Oh I absolutely agree with you on Point 2 - one of my pet hates! I have no issues with kids (I have 3 of my own) however it is the parent's responsibility to manage their behaviour, especially in a public place!! (There you go - there is my vent too!!)
Cool shot. As long as it is somebody else driving I don't mind the wait on the roads. As regards the kids, I agree with you that it has to be the parents not to let them disturb other patrons.
Beautiful ceiling light. You sound as though your day was marred somewhat. I agree, I hate it when kids are out of control. I usually tell them to behave if the parents ignore them.
Clever to look up from within your home -- and fun to see elements of where you live. Good luck with the new mask and wishing you more pleasant outings in the future!
