Arisaema Triphyllum ( Jack in the Pulpit ) by beryl

Arisaema Triphyllum ( Jack in the Pulpit )

On roaming in the garden -- ( no it is not that big !!! ) I came across this neat cluster of Jack-in-the-pulpit inviting me to take a photo of them . They all stood proud , tall and perfectly still for me . Rather poisonous little fellows - even the birds leave them well alone !
Never knew what it was called. It certainly seems invasive and robust! lovely colourful shot.

They may be poisonous but aren't they attractive? My friend has these in her garden, I had no idea what they were called. Nicely presented Beryl

Jack in the pulpit……that is a name I have never heard before! Strange how these old names are coined….winder how it got that name. We had them in the front garden at the farm but as they are so poisonous I used to cut then down for safety.
