Autumn and time to tidy the garden !

A dull day and good to do some jobs outside in the garden !
The time of the year to asses what needs trimming ar get ready for the winter We had an evergreen bush that had not been trimmed in years - so I decided to give it a pruning , but soon realised , because of lack of care it needed more than pruning ,so that's where Gary comes on the scene - the whole bush is chopped down . and the whole lot put through the garden shredder before putting in the green garden bin ( 2 bin loads !!! ) Tomorrow the roots will be dug out , , the soil dug over , fertilised , ready for planting !

Good for Gary…..you have your own family garden shredder….I am impressed! It will be exciting choosing what is going in there next & visiting the garden centre to pick. I’m hoping to do that tomorrow as I want a Japanese Anemone & think they are likely to be for sale just now.
