Sunflower seed-head by beryl

Sunflower seed-head

By now my three huge sunflowers have turned to seed - the one was devoured by the squirrel as it hangs on the garden fence , The other two were cut down today and are now bought indoors to dry for winter food for the birds ( and perhaps the cheeky squirrel !)
Very nice shot

Superb against that background. Remember Fibonacci for the pattern of the seed spiral.

It’s lost it’s summer beauty but it will be so much appreciated by the birds.

that looks fabulous. I eat a lot of sunflower seeds, they are great with nearly anything (I even sprinkle them inside sandwiches)

I love the repetitive pattern the seeds make

You can have a full row of home grown sunflowers next year Beryl! Nature is so clever storing the seeds like that!
