A diptych with the "man at work" in the hallway . The work is coming on well - and I am so pleased to have found Neil - he is a good and thorough worker -- a gem after my past experience with some decorators in the past .
A cold but brighter morning , I am getting a bit fed up of my existence in the front room amongst all the stacked up furniture ! I feel rather like Steptoe of "Steptoe and Son "- an old TV series of a rag-and-bone man living amongst all the array of furniture etc collected in his trade of business !! You have to see the funny side of things !!
I have a hospital app later today - for a scan on my shoulder - it seems I have a tear in the sinew/tendon in the shoulder , the surgeon wants to see whether he can repair it , as He doesn't really want to replace the "replacement shoulder " if he can avoid it due to my other many ailments !
I have Richard, a lovely young man who can. Haven’t managed to offer him a job he can’t do and what he does is to excellent standards. Best of all, Tildi Dictator Dog likes him! Congratulations for finding Neil, treasure him, he’s worth it.

I know what it feels like with shoulder pain or any pain. I could hardly walk yesterday. my ankle on my right foot bothered me so much that Grace and I had to cut our walk yesterday in the forest short I could hardly put my weight on the foot.
At home, Hans rapped an elastic bandage around my ankle, but it didn't help. Now the good news. we have a homemade remedy. I put a little of it around the area of my foot and bingo, the pain was gone instantly and now 10 hours later I'm still pain free.
If you like to try it sometimes let me know. it cost next to nothing and you can keep it close at hand...no refrigeration necessary.
So glad to hear that Neil is working out so well, Beryl. He's a great find for sure! I hope your shoulder can be repaired fairly easily with no more major surgeries. As for your photo, I like this diptych, and you have a great candid of Neil at work.
