Chives

Chives are so handy for culinary use especially during the summer months The mild Onion taste of the chopped chive is excellent & the flower makes a delightful colourful addition to any salad !
As a small child I used to go to the garden & take a blade of chives to chew !!at 1st my poor mother would worry that I was eating something perhaps poisonous until she caught me in the act !! Not only eating the chives but also enticing the dog to also eat it !! OK !!! - I must have had odd taste !!
