Not only did the shop's window display the produce but also the rosettes and certificates to display his success ! Unfortunately I did not go in - but wished after I came home that I hadn't sampled the pork pies !
Such a tempting window Beryl.....love a proper butchers shop! Not to compare with the supermarket. I go to our butchers but Harry & I had occasion to go to Tesco last Monday after the hospital. The meat there was so much cheaper....pork chops were two for three pounds!! We didn't buy but can understand why people do! I bought two what I thought were pork pies today in a butchers shop in Clitheroe but when we ate them they were sort of suet pies....ok as we had chips with them.
