So showy with their big double heads ! These are so special to me as they were originally grown from seeds from my parent's garden -- my father had bought the seeds at the Shrewsbury Flower Show back in the 50's !! Last year I thought I had lost them --but these year they have appeared in their original place in the garden again ! ( So perhaps the seeds grow on a two year cycle !! )
Beautiful poppy shots, Beryl. I'll have some, hopefully, like this next year as I was admiring them in my 93 year old neighbour's garden and he went into his garage and came out with a handful of last year's seed heads which I had to stuff in my jacket pocket (I almost never wear anything as tidy as a jacket!) because he had no paper bag. Black seeds everywhere!!!

That's interesting fingers crossed for next year then . I know poppy seeds can lay dormant for hundreds of years but thought that was only the field poppy.
