Nelly Moser by beryl

Nelly Moser

My clematis "Nelly Moser "is coming to flower -- I am so glad I did not Kill it with my pruning last year .It is recommended not to prune this variety , but it had got straggly and out of hand so I took matters into my own hand . but I would hate it if I had killed it as we've had it in the garden since the early 1980's !! ------- Best seen on black !
Off for a few days hols tomorrow hence shall not post till I am back !
these are lovely A fav

Beautiful and well done, if I'd have pruned it it would surely have died. You have got very green fingers.

BEAUTIFUL, mine are still in Bud Beryl, but I grow them in shade so the colour will last longer, my Nelly is over 30 year old and as been moved lots of times, it will stay in this position now, if you prune it next time, cut half of it down and tie the other half in, this way you will keep it going for years Beryl...Fav

@tonygig Thanks for the advice Tony -- I do not want to loose the plant as my late husband planted it very soon after we 1st moved to this house in 1981 - So My Nelly must be of a similar age as yours !!!!!
