A busy day ! I got up early as the double glazing installation team were here to start on the work of cladding the facia boards , replacing the guttering and replacing two bedrooms windows ! I had a pleasant surprise when the lads arrived on my doorstep -- they were two of my ex-pupils now in their 40's and working for a local double glazing firm-- I hate having workmen around but this made it easier for me !! While dismantling the old guttering Ian discovered I had a wasp's nest behind the facia board and most likely in the attic !!! I managed to poke my head into the attic ,but couldn.t see anything up there, so one of the lads is going up to investigate for me ! So this afternoon I went to get some wasp nest destroyer !! While in the DIY I popped to the garden section for a quick shots at some of the plants .
How very handy having lads that new you Beryl, they will look after you nicely & do their very best. Makes things easier all round! The ever useful pansies it's amazing how these hardy plants survive cold weather, they look quite tender.
Lovely capture nice to see the mixed pots of plants. Hope your work goes well the workmen nowadays do seem to get done very quickly and usually clean up and take away the rubbish and of course it must be great to see your ex- pupils and make them a cup of tea.
