Lunch on a cold snowy day .

When I saw it was so cold and snowing ( only a light covering on the lawn ) I fancied a good warming beef stew with plenty of root veg , chopped toms & celery and served with pickle beetroot ( I usually serve it with pickled red cabbage but had non in the larder ) and garlic bread . Delicious , warming and nourishing !

@maggiemae Yes Maggie,- I like the acidity and sharpness of a pickle on the more rounded taste of the stew - usually pickled red cabbage ,but failing that I have pickled beetroot !
