Help, constructive criticism please -- something not quite right !! there seems to be too much highlighted background in this !! would it have been better if I had cropped off the upper 1/4 of the shot ? I think so !!--this would make the geese prominent in the shot !! ?
I love this shot Beryl! In answer to your question, I think the white area at the top could be cropped as there is no detail in it. You would, of course, also lose the lovely tops of the grass on the right and the darker area top left. You might run the risk of the remaining part of the image being a bit too dark as well but you should be able to lighten it using your editing software or Picmonkey (the exposure sliders). As you say, cropping would make the geese appear more prominent. Have a play and see what you think suits the picture best!
@sturnus Thanks Carol -your comments are helpful --I was trying to balance in my mind the to & against cropping --a play about is the answer to see if I can improve things --I should have done that before I posted but it was too late when I really saw it needed improving Again thanks

Thank you all for your positive & helpful comments , photography ti me --no classes etc has always been a natural progress - my 1st camera bought me at the age of 6 or 7 tears old but from time to time one needs help- & constructive criticism from friends fits that bill -thank you all
I do quite like the different light in this shot & contrast with the green shrubs but the glare does affect the contrast a little i think! Would be happy with this myself though!
