Yet Another Variety..

I somehow don't remember irises in our garden last year that looked like these pretty ones. Does anyone know if irises mutate?

They can if conditions change or an animal digs up a rhizome and brings it to a different part of the garden, the new variety can dominate. Very pretty indeed
