Our son and his family came over for an early birthday dinner (he will turn 52 this week!). Afterward we had a time around our fire pit and the grandsons made s'mores. Our summer had been so very hot and dry that this is only the second time this year that we have used the fire pit. Now snow is being predicted for later this week. Could be we won't be enjoying a cozy fire until next year.

@happypat Thanks, Pat! S'mores are a favorite campfire snack with both kids and adults. Typically, they consist of two graham crackers with a toasted marshmallow and a piece of Hershey's chocolate squished between the two graham crackers. Messy but yummy! :-)
