One more shot from the weekend. We took in a Community festival hosted by the Oliver Community. As part of the day they had the Edmonton Police Pipe and Drum Band playing.
As someone coming from a Scottish background I have always enjoyed listening to this band play whenever I hear them and of course there uniforms are great
I love this photo, Brian. My son was in band and one of his classmates played bagpipes in a group. I absolutely love them and love what they wear when they dress up like this. How fun, I can hear them from here and they are loud but so cool.
I love hearing Scottish bands play. Ever since the Edinburgh Tattoo, I've love the sound of the bagpipes... and enjoyed the sound of the bands and drums; it's strikes a chord in me and takes me straight back to Scotland. :D
Great shot! You captured this well. My husband's request for his funeral (no were in the near future) is that there be bagpipes playing. I love them as well - just warms something inside of me.
Wonderful shot - I just love bagpipes! My mother grew up in Cape Breton, NS, so we'd often hear the bagpipes when we visited there! My mother was from a Scottish- English background!.
Wonderful presentation of this Scottish musical Group...I just love this music, and have a tape of one of the Scottish bands from Scotland when they played a concert at Albert Hall in London, was just great!!
