Dandelion on Steroids by bkbinthecity

Dandelion on Steroids

So I found this plant or weed or whatever it might be out behind the plant where I work. It sure looks like a very large dandelion but when you look at the plant itself I am not sure. These when they open up are yellow in colour but they do not seem to have the shape of a dandelion.
I am hoping that some of our resident plant experts on 365 might be able to tell me what this could be.
In the mean time have a great weekend everyone
Very pretty

I don't know but we have them in our garden too!
June 16th, 2012
That thing is HUGE! Great find!

I'm not a plant expert, but I've looked this one up before. The first time I saw one, I thought the same thing as your title! LOL! It's called Yellow Goatsbeard. They bloom early in the morning and usually close by noon. I keep meaning to do a sequence pic of them, but I get distracted by butterflies and bees. Cool capture, Brian!

June 16th, 2012
