Small Town Alberta

We went to visit with Mel's Aunt and Uncle today. They live in a small town east of Edmonton named Tofield. Took this shot after we came out of a restaurant. This is main street. I could not help but think that so many small towns seem to look so much alike no matter where they are located
Yes they do but generally you find that little difference somewhere!

Coming from a small town, this kind of scene is very familiar to me. The problem comes when you're looking for photo ops! Then I love the cities~ Great pov and capture.

Not a lot of activity, you've captured the approaching gloom of winter perfectly.

This really is a small town. It could be anywhere. I guess that three story building is their skyscraper.
October 21st, 2012
yes, they do, but even more...so do big towns...I have noticed that they always have the same chain restaurants, shopping malls, etc , etc...but I like small old towns best

@tesnonian Thanks Sharon
October 21st, 2012
Well, that looks desolated. It reminds me of the towns I've driven through in Colorado, USA. The pictures of your home town remind me more of Western Europe.
October 21st, 2012
@tonydebont I think the cold weather kept people inside
October 21st, 2012

Most the prairie towns look the same to me too! Today the skies there look very overcast and that always makes me think of northern Alberta!!

It's funny, but I don't think all small towns look alike at all. So is this what most small towns in your area look like? Very interesting.
October 21st, 2012
Our little towns bear no resemblance to this. Nice catch.
October 21st, 2012
Looks like a lot of towns in northern B.C.
