Churchill Station

Edmonton's Light Rail Transit System first started operation in 1978. It has been expanded over the years and is continuing to expand even more. One of the original stations was the Churchill Station located underground at Sir Winston Churchill Square. This is one of three entrances to the station

@kimshots This entrance is quite new and as for the safety factor. The city has had to beef up security at some of our stations as a result of gangs of young people causing problems

@summerfield Edmonton Transit has increased its security quite a bit over tha past little while due to an increase in attacks by groups of young gang members on transit users. The increased security seems to be working. Yes CBC Radio and Televison moved into City Centre Mall quite a few years ago
