With the word for today being glass I decided I would show off part of my bottle collection. I enjoy collecting old bottles and here are a few of them. A couple of my favorites are the Stewart's Rootbeer. This one I bought when we visited the Cracker Barrel Restaurant in Kansas city. The other one is the old Pop Shoppe bottle. Pop Shoppe was a place where you could go in a put together cases of pop. You got to choose your own flavours. Once you finished these ones you would return the case and the empties and go home with another full case.
One thing I do like about the Jones Soda is the opportunity to have a picture you took put on the bottle. I really need to get around to submiting one.
Just heard that we are expecting a huge snow storm our way tomorrow. I guess we will see if that happens or not
That would be really something: to have a picture chosen by you to be on the bottles. I can buy stamps with my own illustration if I wish but bottles of soda... I never designed stamps of my own but my brother does it every now and then.
I hope we got a huge snow storm. I like snow better than this darkness even if I like to walk in the dark. It reminds me of my childhood of no street lights when we used to play hide and seek in the outside darkness.
Brian, what a cool collection! Now that's one I hadn't thought of --- I am a collector ;-) Stay bundled up during the snow storm. One thing, it will put you in the holiday mood!

We had a Stewart's Root Beer place in the town I grew up in but it's been gone a long time. I see one once in a very long while but for the most part they seem to be a thing of the past. There is a soda place here in East Stroudsburg where you can get an assortment of sodas in bottles and then bring them back when they're empty. I wonder if they will survive now that you can buy those interchangeable soda flavor machines for the home. Nice collection!
Nice collection Brian....I remember Pop Shoppe....think they're still around in some places. Didn't know Jones would put a submitted photo on their bottles. Did you get the snow?
