Should have used Spellcheck

Here is one more shot from the McKay Avenue School from yesterday. This is the main entrance of the building. The McKay Avenue School is named after Dr. William MacKay. You may have noticed the difference in the spelling of the last name.
The name is spelled MacKay however when they made the stone for the entrance someone mad a spelling mistake and there was not enough time to correct it before the grand opening so it was put up with the incorrect spelling of his last name. It has become a unique part of the buildings history over the years so the spelling was never fixed
Awesome lighting

thats interesting! I learned that a spelling error in the naming of the street in front of where the school now stands was perpetuated in the naming of the school. It is a beautiful building
