So I finished my vacation yesterday and today went back to work. A couple of days ago we spent the day at Fort Edmonton Park. This is the largest outdoor museum in North America. It is divided up into four sections. The Fort is a replica of what Fort Edmonton would have looked like in 1846. Then you move to three sections that depict what Jasper Avenue looked like in 1885, 1905 and 1920.
This farm although not on Jasper Avenue is included because John Mellon owned the land that the present day park sits on today. The house off to the right is the original 1922 farm house and the barn is a replica.
I took this shot while riding the steam engine to the Fort.
For something different I decided to go with my shots on this visit to the park in black and white
@mrssmith203 Carla I know you would absolutely love Fort Edmonton. Who knows maybe one of these days you will be able to make a trip up here some summer

It's a great idea! - sadly I don't travel by air very well, so it's not too likely.
