I have literally driven over this bridge hundreds of times. Every time I have done this I have made a comment to Melody about a particular picture I have always wanted to take.
So last weekend as we drove over it yet one more time I made a quick turn found a place to park the car and went for a stroll to get this picture.
This is the Wellington Bridge in Old Glenora. It was built in 1932 and is named after Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington . Since I have take many shots of the bridge from on top of it I rally have wanted to get this shot from underneath. The ravine it crosses over is the Ramsey Ravine named after James Ramsey who owned and operated one of Edmonton's earliest department stores in downtown Edmonton.
Have a great week everyone
Lovely composition, great summer scene. What a beautiful sight! It seems as if it's almost a secluded place. You're fortunate to drive by here often. This capture was definitely worth the effort. :)
this is a wonderful shot of the bridge with a great perspective, brian. and good for you for finding parking; some folks would just drive and shoot. and i do commend you for doing that.
