So it was quite the day today. We took a trip out to visit Melody's Uncle in Tofield. He is in hospital and not doing well. When we left there we thought it would be nice to take a drive to Camrose for lunch. Unfortunately I did not have clear directions. So I figured I would take a short cut down a gravel road. After a few minutes we heard a noise from the car, that is never good.
So we stopped and took a few minutes to try and discover what it was. Since we were out in the middle of nowhere with no one around we decided to try and head back to Tofield. Fortunately after a few minutes the noise stopped and the car is fine.
Back in Tofield another quick stop at the hospital before heading home. All of this time and I did not have a good picture for today until we came across this group of friendly locals who just seemed to be waiting for someone to take there picture. so I obliged.
Back home now tired but okay. Tomorrow is another day and it is a holiday weekend here so that is an extra added bonus
Aren't they cute!! Oh, I'm so sorry to hear about the car troubles and I hope the "sound" was really nothing serious! But my experience with cars... you know where I'm going with that!
My husband built numerous apartments in Camrose years ago! I went there when my daughter was just a baby! Nice shot of the locals!! They look friendly.
@olivetreeann Well the car was actually a rental so we do not have to worry about it. Ann could you please pray for Melody's Uncle as he has been diagnosed with stomach cancer
I am sorry to read the rest of your comments. I hate cancer but it runs strongly in my family. My cousin died of stomach cancer at 18 but my grandfather got it at 69 and had surgery and lived to be 81 with quite good quality of life. I will pray that her uncle has the best results. Peace to you all.
First off, thoughts and prayers for your wife's Uncle. I have lost too many to the disease and so many have beat it. I am glad the car was ok and not yours but a rental. Read above and had to laugh a bit. Love your photo and what a wonderful find. One posed for you, how fun. Sounds like a long day.
I hope you enjoy your holiday weekend. So sorry to hear about the poor health of a dear family member. How kind of you to visit--I'm sure it was much appreciated. Will hold your family in my thoughts and prayers. Love these sweet llamas--looks like something good came of a wrong turn. Great take.
Cute shot, very nice! Glad the car fixed itself, and sorry about your wife's uncle, I know a few people who have battled it or are currently going through a battle with cancer so my thoughts are with him!
@bkbinthecity goodness do you see how many views you have had over these beautiful creatures! 103 as I write this. Whoop, well done you, goes to show we know what we like to see pics off - cute fluffy weird looking creatures ! Love these little guys
@nadaa they really are. Melody's Uncle is getting much weaker and the family has all been called together as they don't expect him to last to much longer
