Today's word is cheese. I had my shot all planned out. I was going to stop by Paddy's Cheese Shop on the way home from work to take a couple of shots. Melody had gone to Market Place Chapel to cover at the reception desk and I just assumed that she would have the camera with her. I discovered, however, that the camera was sitting on the kitchen table at home. So much for that plan.
Then while making supper a solution to my dilemma was staring me in the face. This is a picture of our cutting board and so after making supper I washed the board and took out the camera and there you have my shot and the story to go with it
Love those cheeses! This has a feel like a painting, really beautiful, sof still life. Nicely arranged, excellent composition. Like those peppermills (?) too. They add and contrast. Definite fav!
I am so impressed by the fabulous selection of cheese you have at home! You have composed this in a beautiful setting and I think I would like this so much better than Paddy's Cheese Shop :-) FAV, for sure!
if i have that cutting board, i'd always be going for cheese! i love cheese even though i can only have very little of it each time. great use of resources, too. i say you got this cutting board not just for one reason!
@cimes1 I am so glad you enjoyed this one Carole. Thanks for the fav. I am just glad all of that cheese is not real other wise I would be in big trouble for overeating
What a delight! I think it all worked out for the best. :) Such an elegant display; it looks like a creative party sampling one would see around the holidays. I'm really enjoying the ornate, old-world glamour of the salt-and-pepper shakers--along with the wine, they add a nice touch of sophistication to the shot. What a wonderful still-life!
