Last Thursday a long time friend of the family passed away. He had just a few days prior to that celebrated his 92nd birthday.
Yesterday we attended a celebration service of his life. Here are some pictures I thought would be nice to share.
On the left is his wartime photo. He was a private in the Canadian Armed Forces serving in the Netherlands, the middle picture is from his time as a conductor on the Northern Alberta Railroad and then finally a picture of him and his wife looking pretty stylish on a cold winter day here in Edmonton . The great thing about Scotty is he lived a full life with no regrets and left a tremendous legacy behind for his family and friends
I'm so sorry for your loss. What a lovely, heartfelt tribute to your dear friend. He sounds like quite a gem; and how blessed he was to live a full, happy life.
These are great mementos...
