O Canada 7

Day seven of my series on Things Canada is Known For. Canada is definitely Known as a Multicultural nation. I have no idea how many different cultures make up the population of Canada. I have chosen three pictures that represent some of the cultures in Edmonton and Alberta.
1. The Giant Pysanka in the city of Vegreville represents the strong Ukrainian population in Alberta.
2. Cariwest Parade is part of a festival that takes place in August. Edmonton has a very strong cultural group of people from the Caribbean nations.
3. Harbin Road Gate is a a beautiful landmark in Chinatown located In downtown Edmonton .
Edmonton has a large a very active Chinese population
A great representation of these three cultures! That pysanka is amazing! Fav

I'm enjoying this series. Don't forget the national health plan (many down here south of the border are quite jealous of it). Every time I look at one, the national anthem (which I know from hockey games, btw) plays through my mind

@jamibann Issi as Canada was developing as a nation we had many immigrants from Scotland including our very first Prime Minister Sir John A. MacDonald.
Many of Edmonton's founding settlers were of Scottish descent
