Edmonton In Black and White.....The Mercer

John Mercer built a warehouse to store products for his rapidly expanding liquor and cigar business. This is located at the north end of the Fourth Street Promenade which is the main area of downtown Edmonton's old warehouse district.
When his business shut down the building sat vacant for a few years. Over time it became home to numerous other businesses. In 2010 it under went major renovations and today is home to some restaurants, coffee shops and offices
I love the timeless feel of this picture and the point of view. Great black and white shot!
