Run down. by blightygal

Run down.

This is a common sight in a lot of parts in Leeds. Really run down buildings and businesses. I guess things will stay like this for some time with the current climate too, which is a shame. Some of the buildings in Leeds that are going to ruin are amazing!
Tons of character but sad.

I love old, run-down buildings like this visually, but I never like to see a lot of this in a town.

Your capture of it makes a picture with nice composition and with emotion.

Very lovely shot - like an old painting - I suspect the general environs weren't too picturesque though!

Are people still doing business in this shop? I would be afraid to enter. Great capture.

That is a shame--I'll bet there's so much history packed around there. Would make for an interesting photography walk

Sad to see the buildings so run down. So much history... Nice capture.

Nice gritty shot Freida. The picture speaks for itself.

Is that a bit of 'colour popping' in the letterbox ?

Love this type of shot! Great theme entry!

@phil_howcroft sorry for late reply! No, no colour popping if you mean manipulation - shot is as it is. There's a block of wood behind the letterbox- to stop anyone shoving stuff through I guess?

I find it odd how decay makes for such interesting photos. Great shot.
