With some kind of passion fruit spritz that wasn't actually all that nice. At Bill's in Victoria, out with team members on a Monday evening after work. We have an awayday tomorrow so team leader and colleague from Sheffield had come down a day early to work in the London office so a good chance to have a meal out - crew made up of Alex and Caroline, R and J from Sheffield, Alice and I the ex-intern who happened to be in the office.
Another beautiful sunny day that had started out really damp with heavy rain as I walked through the parks into work. Got feedback on my statement, all good and checks all the boxes.
Russian missile attacks across many Ukrainian urban populated areas and infrastructure.
1. Colleagues IRL!
2. Spritz might have been so-so, but the mackerel paté, sea bass with poached egg (that I managed to burst and get everywhere), and chocolate and salted caramel tart (shared with R) were very acceptable.
3. I'd had lentil cakes and salad for lunch so a splash-out Monday night dinner was less naughty-ish... eaten downstairs in the canteen with the team.
Sorry your drink was not to your expectation. Decades ago, I was introduced to the Rusty Nail (simply equal parts Scotch & Drambuie), after complaining about how I could hardly ever taste the liquor in my mixed drinks. I have never strayed .... real hard to screw up pouring two shots of liquor over some ice!
